Grace Welch, the Chair of the Champlain Region Family Council Network, appeared before the Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs on January 25, 2024 as part of their pre-budget consultations. We continue to advocate for a resolution of the staffing crisis, adoption of person-centred care as the standard of care to improve the quality of life for residents, building smaller home-like environments, improving transparency and accountability and lastly, adopting the new national standards.
